The High Point University School of Communication partners with the YWCA of High Point every semester to allow their media production students to gain real-world experience in producing content for clients. We were put in groups of four students, where we demonstrated communication skills interacting directly with the client, going back and forth with revisions and requests. My particular group was assigned to produce a video for the Parents as Teachers program where we gathered footage of related facilities at the YWCA as well as an in-person home visit interview as part of the program.
